House A

In House A, the roof is a planer RF system consisting of RF Modules using short beams of solid Douglas fir. These sit on three short beams which span the width of the space. (Layer A and B)

The final layer (layer C) are the Cross-laminated timber panels which create horizontal stiffness and alternating voids to light the plan. The CLT Panels exploit the square void in the centre, 900mm x 900mm, for a unique patter of rooflights.
