Adaptable Hall Space

As the RF Models are assembled from a standard “kit-of-parts,” the research shows how their design is therefore applicable to widespread use by using standard lengths of typical members under different loading conditions. The ease of assembly and disassembly in the RF prototypes – using a Sherpa (TM) connector – demonstrates the potential re-configuration of buildings and their elements as per the circular economy.

In addition, the material consumption measured against other typical structures shows a saving of 45% addressing efficiency in the use of building materials. By using a layered structure of RF Modules, the assembly omits the need for temporary supports for the RF modules, an advantage for rapid construction.
